Located close to Peak Activities base in Hathersage is Chatsworth Park
& House - the stately home of the Dukes of Devonshire.
Chatsworth House and the surrounding estate are just a short
drive from our base in the charming village of Hathersage.
It was with great sadness we learned of the death of the 11th Duke
in May 2004. The late Duke had shown our directors great kindness
and warmth in past years. We sent our condolences to all his family
and many friends and colleagues working at the estate. It was typical
of the great hospitality of the late 11th Duke that he gave instructions
the House should be kept open to be enjoyed by the public on the day
of his death. We are sure he'll be greatly missed by everyone who knew
this truly great and much respected gentleman.

His Grace the 11th Duke of Devonshire kindly supporting
one of Peak Activities sponsored "Top Team Challenges"
raising funds for the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
His Grace gave a most inspiring speech and then made
the presentation of awards and prizes to the various winning
teams. He took the time to have his photograph taken with
every single participant - a true gentleman.

Chatsworth Park is open to visitors all year round
& the house & gardens are open to the public in the
warmer months. It's well worth a visit.
The 12th Duke, Peregrine Cavendish is continuing
his mother & father's desire to share this magnificent
treasure of the Peak District with all those who love
this wonderful stately home and estate grounds.
With many deer browsing alongside charming river
bank walks. it's a wonderful place to include in any
sightseeing and walking tour of the local area.
Chatsworth's fine restaurant is a good watering
hole for hungry & thirsty walkers. Exclusive meals
and functions an be booked for private parties wishing
to round off corporate events there.
From time to time Peak Activities Ltd has very
kindly been given permission to run exclusive
special corporate events including product
launches and treasure hunts for organisations
such as Lufthansa and Steigenberger and
charity fund raising events in and around
Chatsworth House and the surrounding estate.
