For people who
want to learn to lead climbs we have some advanced rock
climbing skills training courses - and of course you can hire
our instructors
for private
tuition
on a 1:1 or 1:2 or 1:3 basis...which allows rapid progress
and the scope to make mistakes and learn from them under the
safe aegis
of our senior instructors. Guiding is very popular, but sadly it costs more for
us to provide for our customers than our open ( public ) climbing courses.

Our centre
is fully licensed by the government's AALA licensing
authority to run rock
climbing,
abseiling and mountaineering
activities ( as well as caving, trekking, mountain biking and
loads
more activities ) all the year round in remote areas. License No. L0352/R0671.
We offer enjoyable worthwhile and above all SAFE rock climbing
and abseiling experiences for the people who trust us to look after
them...and unlike some of the brand new businesses working in the
area these days we are very old fashioned about treating people the
way we'd like to be treated and not letting out customers down

Many of our of our instruction team such as Dave Baines MIA ( above ) have
built up over 25 years experience as safe local climbing, abseiling and caving
and potholing instructors.
We cater for groups and also run weekends and mid-week sessions
for individuals. You can choose to join one of our open beginners
weekends ( especially for total novices ) that have been very highly
acclaimed on BBC television and radio - or why not try our follow up
weekends for people who have climbed before but who would prefer
instructors looking after them to ensure they climb in total safety.
Our new "Leading Edge" Learning to Lead Weekend Course for more
experienced climbers is a modern 2 day course for those who want to
get to grips with more advanced outdoor rock climbing skills and
ropework for rock climbing safely.

If you are looking for something for a group of people
( such as corporate parties from work or a stag group
visit on a Saturday or a Sunday ) - why not plan a special
tailored 1, 2 or 3 day event for your private party on a day
or over dates which suit you ? Climbing can be dovetailed
into a wide range of other outdoor activities we provide
- such as larger scaled trailquests, orienteering challenges
and inter-team competitions and contests.
