All year round Peak Activities Limited arranges

easy, moderate and really tough self-led & guided

walks for customers' groups. These can start at our

base or set off using minibus support, if necessary,

to help start finish led-walks in unusual and interesting

locations such as the Snake Pass Inn. Gorge walks and

treks across remote moorlands are very popular. We can

also arrange orienteering sessions too - plus map reading

lessons, GPS tuition, & help understanding & following

the new Countryside Code.

ACCESS IN THE COUNTRYSIDE

NEW ADVICE FOR THE PUBLIC

From a gentle stroll or relaxing picnic to along distance walk
or a heart pumping adventure, the countryside provides every
opportunity for enjoyment & relaxation. The new Countryside Code
is quite complex in detail but essentially the advice for the public
falls into the following common sense headings : -
  

BE SAFE - plan ahead & follow and signs.
 Leave gates and property as you find them.
Protect plants and animals, and take your litter home.
Keep dogs under close control.
Consider other people.

If you follow the countryside code wherever you go you'll get the 
best enjoyment possible and you'll help protect the countryside 
now and for future generations.

Travelling to the countryside by train or sharing lifts and cycling 
around the countryside are all suggested by the new countryside 
code.
