Peak Activities has arranged dozens of corporate training

weekends and lighthearted sports weekends for real teams

of senior managers, supervisors & manufacturing workers

from various assembly plants in Solihull making Land Rovers,

Range Rovers, Defenders - and for teams from Power Train's

gearbox & engine plants. Their training investments were

funded by Rover's far-sighted employee assisted learning

scheme.

 

Other groups have been here with us from Rover's vehicle

One of the highlights of many of the courses we tailored for Rover

involved Rock Lea's senior instructors taking the delegates out

for off-road driving lessons in their own works' Discovery,

Range Rover & Defender vehicles. It was interesting that most

of the people who assembled & engineered these excellent pieces

of 4 x 4 equipment had no real personal experience of just how

good their products were in mud and across wild terrain until they

tried the vehicles for themselves with our instructors. Other forms

of off-road transportation was tried out for comparitive purposes too !

 

Accounts of several of the lighthearted sports based team building

events for Rover's Associates have been published in Land Rover's

magazine - and in other media. A further graphic account of a caving

trip during a weekend led by Range Rover Production Manager,

Harvey Liddington is outlined in our caving section.
