Peak Activities offers a wide range of safe outdoor pursuits instruction
including Cable Water Skiing, Caving, Rock Climbing, Abseils & lots
more outdoor sports activities in the Peak District National Park .
We can cater for groups wanting a day or a weekend or even a whole
week of outdoor adventures with a difference....   

We are not the cheapest provider in the Peak District but we have 
a first rate safety record stretching over 20 years and we work
to the highest possible standards of customer care.  We have an
impressive list of corporate clients and welcome serious enquiries 
from groups large or small.  Individuals can book guides by the day
for private tuition - or can opt to join one of our popular "open"

Water skiing is just one of the more expensive of a range of

Established over 20 years, our base in the Hope Valley in the 
Peak District National Park in Derbyshire offers outdoor pursuits 
instruction for over 30 differentoutdoor activities  for groups and 
for individuals.

In the warmer months Peak Activities Limited's Sports Division 
can arrange for adults groups spending several days with us to 
enjoy the thrill of cable towed water-skiing as part of our bespoke

These are fun days tailored to involve a "Round Robin" 
programme including a variety of other watersports 
 sailing, canoeing, land or water-borne treasure hunts, 
windsurfing, improvised rafting and jet-skiing. 

Cable water-skiing can be excellent fun to try and is a

    WATER SKIING - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  

    
The main difference between skiing with a cable 
and skiing behind a boat is that you're pulled along 
by a huge continuous loop of overhead cable driven 
by a powerful electric motor. It's a bit like a ski tow.
Novices start at around 28 Km / hour but the device 
can be speeded up to nearly 60 Km / hour for 
expert slalom skiers.

The cable system allows up to eight people at 
a time on the half mile long rectangular shaped
circuit, so it is ideal for groups. With skiers passing
by almost every 10 seconds (if they don't fall in ) 
it's a good spectator activity too !

Prices we charge include transport to and from 
the site,  buoyancy aid, skis or kneeboards, qualified 
tuition  and cover for Third party & Liability insurance.
